5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) Enjoying OSD Supply Drop

Soldiers from the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) are deployed from Fort Campbell, Kentucky to Syria. Their unit has been there since 2016 and will remain until the mission is complete. SFC Robert T. explained, “We are the Signal Detachment, but we have our hands in everything! Convoys, construction, electrical, fork lifting….you name it, we can do it.”

These Soldiers go above and beyond, quick to provide assistance even when it is outside of their role. They were in need of a way to relax, decompress, and take their mind off of work.

SPC Robert T. continued, “My guys not only take care of our unit, the help other units where we are located with any and all communications issues. They work till the task is done, busting their tails day in and day out. Anything I can do to help these guys get just a moment to break away, I try. I have worked with these Soldiers for 3 years, and they are the best group of Soldiers I have worked with, hands down. They are more than deserving of an OSD Supply Drop!”

We were happy to get something sent their way.

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee, and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Rip It Energy, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS, and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Fall as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Kentucky.
