400 Military Community Members Experience Formula 1 and Stevie Wonder ‘Thank You Deployment’ from OSD partnership with Circuit of the Americas and Texas Lottery

AUSTIN, Texas, October 27, 2017 /For immediate release/ Circuit of the Americas (COTA) and Texas Lottery partnered with OSD (Operation Supply Drop) to host massive “Thank You Deployment” for 400 Military community members for Formula One Finals and Stevie Wonder concert.

Cambrey Oehler, Manager of Corporate Partnership Activation, said, “We are proud to support members of the Armed Forces and veterans at all motorsport events at Circuit of The Americas. This year in particular, we hosted numerous veterans and their families for the main race day of the Formula 1 USGP and the Stevie Wonder concert courtesy of Texas Lottery. We were excited to partner with Operation Supply Drop to put these tickets in the hands of deserving vets and their families and friends and are looking forward to working with OSD for future endeavors.”

Attendees, including veterans from all US military branches and numerous families, enjoyed premium seats at turn 4 where they saw the open wheel action up close. After the fun-fueled day ended and the sun set, many then stayed to enjoy a rare and memorable concert by Stevie Wonder.

A Vietnam-era United States Marine Corp Veteran, noting the importance of these experiences, said, “Thank you for the tickets, I would have never been able to attend otherwise. EVER!”

US Navy Veteran Kristopher Brewer, kept his feedback simple, saying, “This event was bad ass!”

OSD and COTA began working together at the beginning of the 2017 Austin360 Amphitheater concert season providing Crown Royal VIP “Thank You Deployments” for the military community to concerts including Luke Bryan, Zac Brown Band and Journey.
