3rd Special Forces Group Deployed to Remote Area of Afghanistan Enjoying OSD Supply Drop
FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA & AUSTIN, TEXAS (September 22, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) is deployed from Fort Bragg to a remote area of Afghanistan. There are few amenities on base and the soldiers were struggling since there was so little to do in their downtime. They reached out to OSD hoping for a way to relax and unwind after a hard day and take their mind off of the deployment.
SSG Juan F. explained, “We are a special forces unit located in a remote area with minimal amenities. We would love to have some additional activities to fill our limited downtime and help the deployment go by a little faster.”
We were happy to get some entertainment items in the hands of these soldiers.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe.
