3rd Cavalry Regiment Soldiers Deployed from Fort Hood Get Much Needed Morale Boost from OSD Supply Drop

KILLEEN, TEXAS & AUSTIN, TEXAS (June 20, 2018) /For immediate release/ —   The Regimental Engineer Squadron, 3d U.S. Cavalry Regiment is currently deployed to Iraq from Fort Hood. They are providing route clearance patrol in the region. These soldiers work long hours and have few ways to relax and unwind. As a result, morale had dipped.

Staff Sergeant Tyler B. wrote to OSD hoping for a way to provide his fellow soldiers a bit of a morale boost.

He explained, “My unit deserves this Supply Drop because when we get off mission and have some downtime, we don’t have any way to unwind. This Supply Drop would be a tremendous boost to our morale.”

Where there is an ask, OSD is there.

These troops are now enjoying games, coffee, and other supplies from generous donors including Starbucks, Rip It Energy, Disgruntled Decks, FanDuel, GAEMS, and other key OSD partners.

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Winter as members of OSD’s Texas Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Fort Hood.
