380th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron Deployed from Tinker Air Force Base Receives OSD Supply Drop
Airmen of the 380th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron are deployed from Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City to Southwest Asia. They are part of a Fabrication Unit that creates and repairs aircraft parts. Their job is demanding and they were starting to feel the strain of the high tempo deployment.
SSgt Michael W. explained, “Our deployment has been very fast-paced and we could use a good boost in morale to raise the energy around the unit and give us something to do when we get some downtime.”
Supply Drops are a great way for units to relax, take their mind off of the stress of a deployment, and have some fun together.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Airmen will return home in the Summer as members of OSD’s Midwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Oklahoma.
