3-1 Special Forces Group in Need of Morale Boost Receives OSD Supply Drop
TACOMA, WASHINGTON & AUSTIN, TEXAS (August 4, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 3-1 Special Forces Group is deployed from Joint Base Lewis McChord to Afghanistan. They are regularly out training and fighting with local Afghan Military and the conditions are less than ideal.
SGT Kyle S. noticed that his fellow Soldiers were in need of a morale boost. But unlike deployments he had been on in the past, most were unfamiliar with organizations like OSD who provide support.
He explained, “This deployment was very different from my last. These guys don’t know much about moral support sites, so I figured I would reach out and see if we could get the support. I would love to send some systems out to the teams out in the sticks.”
OSD was happy to help.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Winter as members of OSD’s Northwest Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Tacoma.
