The 27th Engineer Battalion is deployed from Fort Bragg in North Carolina to Afghanistan. They are responsible for conducting route clearance patrols for the US and coalition forces. It is hard work with long hours and morale in the squadron had taken a hit.
SSG Earl B. “We have a lot of hard working Soldiers who are running 4 to 5 missions a week. They are sent on missions at night and work on the fleet during the day.”
Additionally, force cuts mean that the Squadron is constantly changing, another blow to morale.
SSG Earl B. continued, “We’ve had quite a few force cuts and the platoons and squads are getting changed around a lot. An OSD Supply Drop would drastically help morale throughout the platoon.”
We are honored to be able to help out Soliders like this by providing a bit of fun where there is none.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soliders will return home in the Summer as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within OSD Fayetteville.
