20th Engineer Battalion Deployed from Fort Hood Gets a Needed Morale Boost from OSD Supply Drop
KILLEEN, TEXAS & AUSTIN, TEXAS (September 1, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 20th Engineer Battalion is deployed from Fort Hood to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Long days and time away from home can quickly take its toll on soldiers morale. If there is little to do during downtime, morale sinks even lower.
Specialist Yeinni F. understood this all too well. He reached out to OSD hoping to give his unit a little something to look forward to and make the deployment a little better.
He explained, “I think an OSD Supply will increase the morale of our soldiers.”
OSD was happy to get some supplies in the hands of these deserving soldiers.
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the Fall as members of OSD’s Texas Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within Fort Hood.
