FORT POLK, LOUISIANA & FAYETTEVILLE, NC February 24, 2018 /For immediate release/ — OSD ships “Supply Drop” to 3-89 Cavalry, 10th Mountain soldiers deployed to Iraq from Fort Polk, Louisiana.

OSD is shipping items from partners including Starbucks, KontrolFreek, GAEMS, Bezier Games and Steve Jackson Games with direct support from USAA and FanDuel.

SSG Tim S., said, “I’m a 17-year veteran with seven deployments. My troop is a Infantry RECON unit in Cavalry Squadron. We are currently in Iraq, moving around living out of bags and a conex. We are mostly on our own and rarely go to the bigger bases.”

OSD warehouse manager and Army Veteran, Laeth Damon, said, “Sending video games downrange to Tim and his unit will make a huge impact on their mental well-being through the end of their deployment. I can share from experience the benefit that even fifteen minutes on an Xbox will do for a soldier while running around in the sandbox.”

OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe.
