CLARKSVILLE, TENNESSEE & AUSTIN, TEXAS (September 11, 2018) /For immediate release/ — The 101st Aviation Regiment is deployed from Fort Campbell to a small forward operating base in Afghanistan. Because of their remote location, they have no access to a USO or MWR. Coupled with a high ops tempo, these soldiers needed a morale boost.
1LT Jeffrey J. said, “Our unit is running 24-hour operations and there is little to do during off/recovery time.” An OSD Supply Drop was the perfect solution.
1LT Jeffrey J. responded, “Thanks again for the great gear. It is a very small footprint here where we are with not much to do on your off time. The soldiers are loving the Xbox and games. Also, one of my soldiers has been drinking a cup of the tea you sent us every day and he says it’s the best. Thanks again, you guys rock!”
OSD’s “Supply Drop” program has impacted hundreds of thousands of active military personnel in scores of locations around the globe. These Soldiers will return home in the early Spring as members of OSD’s Southeast Region, leading and participating in social, professional and service events within the Kentucky and Tennessee.
